The Trend Colors for Fall/Winter 25/26

If you love experimenting with color, or you’re simply looking to refresh your wardrobe for the colder months, this post will walk you through the standout hues for Fall/Winter 25/26 and how to wear them.

And if you’d like to see these colors in action, I’ve shared plenty of visuals and outfit ideas in my new YouTube video: The Color Trends Taking Over This Fall/Winter.

1. Cobalt Blue

Cobalt blue is everywhere this season and for good reason. While many shades of blue are trending, cobalt is the real standout. It looks especially striking in statement pieces like coats, blazers, or knitwear.

Try pairing it with: classic neutrals like gray or white for a crisp look, or go bold with yellow for a high-contrast combination.

2. Shades of Purple

Rich purples and plums bring a touch of luxury to fall and winter wardrobes. These deeper tones look beautiful in elegant fabrics like velvet or satin, but they’re also wearable in casual pieces like sweaters or scarves.

Color combos: pair plum with soft gray or beige for an understated look, or try it with greens for a contrasting mix.

3. Orange

Orange continues to make a statement this season. Whether it’s a deep burnt orange or a softer pumpkin tone, it adds warmth and personality to any outfit.

Pair it with: warm neutrals for a cozy, autumn-inspired combination, or with a deep hue like burgundy, for an unexpected twist.

4. Warm Greens

Warm greens like chartreuse are trending, but if you prefer something more subtle, olive is a timeless choice. These shades bring unexpected freshness to winter outfits and pair beautifully with both neutrals and brights.

Try them with: beige or camel for an earthy look, or raspberry pink for something more playful.

5. Mocha Brown

Mocha is the standout neutral this season, but truly, any shade of brown is in style. It’s sophisticated, versatile, and adds a soft warmth to your wardrobe.

Pair it with: cream or white for a timeless combination, or add a pop of color with ballet pink or orange.
